Ukrainian artist who loves desert
Kateryna Struzhko was born in Ukraine in 1987. In 2012 she completed a Master of Science in Architecture and Master Planning with distinction at the Kyiv National University of Architecture in Ukraine. She started producing sculpted works of art as an architect, where she creates series of urban sketches. Then she created several art pieces for private art collection. She participated in a group exhibitions in Kremenchuk city of Ukraine. Kateryna has also given talk at Little Academy of Science in Ukraine, where she spoke on the role of famous worldwide artists Kateryna Bilokur and Maria Pryimachenko in local society and what influence their works have for young talents. Her protégé was Anatoliy Diachenko, known for his attention to nature details in creating graphic and painting depictions of ornaments with floral motives, nature landscapes and illustrations. Kateryna is a professional artist. She works with traditional materials like oil on canvas, ink and watercolor on paper. She enjoys painting, graphic, urban sketching of places she visited, architecture and nature. She focuses on the sensual nature of art, aiming to depict the simplicity of life and its fleeting through a combination of color and composition. Kateryna lives and works in Middle East since 2012. She began working on series “Desert – entire life” in 2017.
