Zaahirah entered the artistic arena at a young age, riding swiftly on the crest of the waves formed by her passion and imagination. From her motherland, Mauritius, to the Persian Gulf where she currently resides, Zaahirah, an Artist Activist, perpetually attempts to re-define and re-discover herself on the landscape of her canvases. As an agent of change, she holds a strong message of empowerment in her art. Art is an essential constituent of Zaahirah’s life. Zaahirah is the curator for World Art Dubai 2017, she was featured in the book 101 Artists Toastmaster. An illustration of hers was selected for the Sharjah Book Fair 2013. Her work was selected for Sikka 2015 and recently her work was chosen by Creatopia to present to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoom, Crown Prince of Dubai during the Global Islamic Economy Summit 2016. She has exhibited her work in Africa, Europe and the Middle East
