Subdued by the Elements, I worship Nature Primordial chaos and divine accord Whisper of Wind and passion of Fire Mother Earth, give me thy strength! Flow my veins, oh mountain stream! Intoxicated with Freedom, I will lie on your chest Pulsing inside is your vibrant echo I am your innocent child, let me back to your bosom.. Wilderness be the refuge for my aching soul Pagan in me spins the web of poetry A saga of esoteric unity Read the runes in the sky...
Reflections Sometimes I imagine myself walking in the crowd It's faceless and blurry like a long exposure photo.. Void resonates with an echo of doubt Who I am in this army of phantasmal shadows? Sometimes I imagine myself on top of a mountain Observing the clouds passing by at my feet Void resonates with an echo of doubt Who I am if there's nobody to share this world with? The furious race with no winner, recklessly we call it life Yet unable to stop for a moment to take a deep breath of spring The stallions of time fly beyond the skyline Leaving the clouds of dust as a rhetorical question.. I find joy in simplicity..walking barefoot in the desert Embraced by the orange-scented rays of sunset Dainty contours of dunes with mysterious calligraphy A luxury philosopher and a poet can afford.. A cup of tea with spices by the fire evokes so many memories Like petals of delight, they will be scattered over the sands A luxury philosopher and a poet can afford..
I've asked the cloud of birds if they met my loved one They replied in thousand languages mocking my deep pain Bleeding sunset erased my last hope Growing shadows engraved the doubts in me Will I see you again?.. Walls of concrete are deaf to my sentiments Last rays of light hide their eyes Come to me like a dream, like a healing mirage Scatter my sorrows away, darling soul Can't escape from myself, I'm enslaved In the best of the worlds you are Leaving me scars and velvet yellow roses Damnation of silence...emptiness within Will I say "I love you" again?..
Rumble of hooves in the mantle of dust Where graceful contours of acacias Embrace the azure infinity... Africa rages in me like a stormy ocean Like a reckless dance liberating my wild spirit A patchwork of unbelievable colors and ornaments Everlasting mystery so daring and sweet... I want to take a sip of Milky Way from your hands Wake up with the sun and feel you heartbeat Shine like a diamond crown of Kilimanjaro Listen to the whisper of fire at dusk Oh cradle of life, I am your wandering child...
Zanzibar Ocean revealed his soul under the orange veil of sunset A whisper so delightful, a splash of sun kisses... I touch his hand from a boat He caresses me with a soft silk of tranquility I sail away towards the undiscovered lands Where skies seem closer Where "Z" means "happiness"...
Citrus skies, so glorious in their innocence Paint my soul with a sour sweet happiness I dream of the distant land of joy Where pale disk of sun is cross hatched with delicate shadows Of acacias... Where tribal drums call for a ritual dance Praising life Praising smile Majestic mountains keep silence but I know: My heart is there...(c) The border between reality and fancy, The endless river, a gallery of clouds Floating carelessly to the horizon Where rays of sleepy sun dissolve in deep dark waters... Oh solitude, I praise the silent nights When thoughts don't rush in psychedelic swirling And rhythm of heartbeat sounds like a solemn chord A constellation of untouched desires... I will be sailing down the starry path Into the light...
Intricate lines remain the crackles On transparent porcelain vase Or maybe these are the delicate wrinkles of memories Locked in antique casket of a fine mahogany?.. Bejeweled with tiny raindrops, they sway Engrossing me into meditative bliss... I try to catch your shadow in the spiderweb But you disappear again, slashing my heart With bewitching smile... How merciless!!.
When spring comes, it fills the veins of trees with the thirst for life A sun in bloom, a fragrance of rebirth Reflection of a sapphire sky and petals on the water gone with the wind I want to harness that horse-shape cloud and ride towards the endless fields of joy Idyllic watercolor and flawless silhouettes A holy cycle of immortality
To Arabian stallion Oh brother of mine, he flies above the clouds In a glorious halo of a newborn day Soft are his wings and transparent like a drop of dew Freedom seethes in him, fire fuels his essence A noble warrior and guardian of the heavenly realm Oh brother of mine, I know you're around When flowers bend their heads and birds forget their language Come to my dreams and let's ride in a wilderness of eternity Making the stars jealous...
Sloppy brush strokes of sky, Quirky ink lines of a branch, this whisper of a newborn spring Reflected in antique mirror Of a forest lake framed in a damp moss Inhale the resurrection of sun And unleash the wild you Here is to dancing under the warm rain, Here is to singing the songs of the nymphs Disappearance, I salute you With transcendental exaltation Renaissance, I bid you welcome...
Oh desert wind... Oh desert wind, cradle my sorrows, You are a relief to my scars and delight of my eyes... Deliverance with its heady veil of fragrance Step by step, I create new curlicues on the opulent sand carpet Touched with the blush of dawn... Oh desert wind, caress his hair while he is in the realm of slumber Guard his dreams, soft like rose petals, Seal his lips with a blissful desire Shield him with prayers and scatter his grief Oh desert wind, kiss his lashes of the finest silk Softly, like angels touch our reveries If he smiles, my heart will rejoice And sparkle like a placer of diamonds..
The soul of Dubai Beyond the cold neon hearts I feel the spirit of infinite freedom Concrete muscles and veins of steel protect something invisible oh so delicate Like the finest silk, soft like a butterfly's wing Beyond my lens lies the city of life, crowded with voices of hundreds of languages Yet I walk alone... Knots of highways and myriads of firebugs Caravan of kaleidoscopic visions in my fevered mind Next stop is mine, the dream is over Just let me kiss your sky for a moment And scoop a handful of stars from the Gulf...
The Desert Scroll (Inspired by Emirati Desert) I read the sand ripples like poetry lines Revelation of the sacred infinity Sip the majesty of Creation from your warm hands Every step is filled with excitement and awe Sun melts beyond the blurry niqab of horizon Relief to my nomadic soul lost in the sands Away from the city hive and bokeh-like faceless crowd Where I am nothing but a shadow on the soulless walls Away from the one I pretended to be... Do you know how much tears are hidden behind the dazzling smile? Brother falcon, come sit on my hand Wind filled with a delicate aroma of oud will scatter our sorrows Let's indulge in this sacred silence Under sapphire stars...
My Dubai Busy city that never sleeps Night left kisses with velvet lips Through the lace of unveiled desires Feel its passion like pulsing wire Mesmerized by its heady scent Moonlight gently will touch its hand Desert flower full of grace Will the bliss of this night embrace With the falcon my dream will fly I'll come back to you, my Dubai...
Oh Africa Oh Africa, embrace me with your warm rays of sun Sleepy and defenseless in its pristine purity Gently shake off the deceptive visions Guide me through the trail of wilderness I hear your heartbeat, it's pulsing within Your blood is rushing like the full-flowing Mara it its might Millions of hooves resonate in me Giving me shivers, so glorious is this scene... Oh Africa, I'm aching with you Shedding tears when words fail Your lament is mine and so are your scars Carved by greed never to erase... When your child falls down and bleeds A trophy of pride and arrogance Something dies inside of me, too Yet I'm the voice of the voiceless, the weak and betrayed I look at the dusty horizon With an intricate silhouette of acacia Delicate and unshakeable, with the dignity of the wild And my soul rejoices, it gives me hope..
The desert poem I see a mesmerizing veil of sunrise Hugging your silhouette with iridescent wings Shielding your reveries from ominous sandstorm of doubts With a fanciful kaleidoscope of mirages I see the wind caressing the desert in a slumberous bliss So softly it leaves the elusive ripples like kisses To be scattered with the falcon cry in azure infinity Let us greet the newborn day with Salat Al-Fajr And disappear on the other side of horizon...
Theorem of Unity I’m learning from water How to adapt to any shape Remaining sincerely transparent I’m learning from fire Who leaves ashes and ruins But warms hands Nature is the greatest teacher I whisper a theorem of unity This is my prayer And embrace a sky Like a butterfly
